Seven Years of Bad What?

If it isn’t already apparent, I have a klutz problem. I’m also infamous for being one leaf short of a four leaf clover. I’ve tried all my life to find a four leaf clover to no avail, yet my sister can sit right next to me in a clover field and find five (not that she’s all that lucky herself). Bad luck seems to be lurking around every corner and no matter how hard I try to play coy I always run smack dab into stupid situations. My car gets broken into (brand new running sneaks gone) and in the same week my bike gets stolen, same year different car, different apartment, yet another break in. Hey, that’s just me. Not only am I getting used to this idea but I’m beginning to appreciate it. If nothing else my unlucky/klutzy stories make for some great small talk. In fact, it has become a running joke. It never fails, anytime I’m invited anywhere I somehow manage to make a scene. It all started when I was invited to an out of town wedding for a couple I didn’t know. You see I have this nervous habit of playing with my rings when I get antsy, and in the middle of a prayer in dead silence…DING… DING DING DING, my ring goes flying. I was hoping my friends would let that one slide but now every time I do something embarrassing they scream “Vicky’s here!”. At the most recent wedding I went to I dragged a chair along with me on the way to the dessert table (it was attached to my dress), awesome. Brian mentioned my bad luck may be due the fact that I carry this around in my purse. He may be on to something.

I think it's usually seven years of bad luck, right? Either way, as soon as I get my butt to the post office, you'll have something to replace that broken one with. :)
